Alex and Chris had their engagement session in Hoboken with us a year ago, and it really helps to get us excited to see each other again on their wedding day. From the detailed planning of their wedding through the months, and being in love with the engagement session, a real relationship really builds between the couple and us as photographers. A complete trust for us has developed well before the wedding day, and that just makes the actual wedding day a complete pleasurable and joyous experience.
Alex started her day at home, which we always love when the day is filled with meaningful locations, where parents and family members can really be relaxed and enjoy each other’s presence. Chris got ready with his family at the W Hotel in Hoboken, which was just minutes from their ceremony location. They chose an absolutely beautiful church to seal their vows, at St Ann Roman Catholic Church. One of their must have shots was walking out of the church, so we made sure the whole area was cleared before they made their exit for photos.
After the ceremony we headed straight to Felina in Ridgewood, NJ. We were so excited for this venue, an old bank converted to an event space in the historical village. The neoclassical bank space features marble columns, soaring windows, towering ceilings, and a wraparound mezzanine. The exterior of the building was a perfect backdrop at sunset with the interior lights glowing, and inside also had plenty of locations for a private moment for the couple while we captured them. We love how large and open the space is, creating an absolute grand and sophisticated vibe.
