We knew after photographing Katrina and Eric’s engagement session in the Spring, that we would have an amazing time with them on their wedding day. Their soft spoken voices and affection towards each other spoke volumes on their love, and we love loud! Their special day was absolutely no different among all the typical wedding chaos and stress – they were completely happy and living in the moment. They truly enjoyed their time with friends and family and pups!
The venue was an absolute hidden gem located right at the corner of the tri states, NJ, NY, and PA. Sylvan Ridge Farm in Milford PA is just on top of a hill with a beautiful view and isolated charm. The guests stay over the entire weekend there, which helps keep everyone relaxed and always in the party mood. It also allows the guests to party even later on the wedding day and not worry about driving home. I don’t think there’s a better way to extend the celebration with your loved ones than to spend the day before and after the wedding all together.
Katrina and Eric also added extra charm to this farmhouse style wedding by including a Camper Booth. This was our first time seeing one, as photo booths are always innovating so fast there’s always something new at every wedding. It’s literally a teardrop style camper parked outside the venue and guests step in to take their photos.
The couple had so many personal touches during the wedding day that completely made their day special to them. One of our favorite touches is always including their four legged family members in the wedding day. Their dog Maya was the ring bearer who was very vocal at the best parts of the ceremony! They also included their other four legged members’ portraits on their cocktail menu. These are all the details we make sure to capture so when the couple looks back years down the road, it will refresh their memory and remind them how those little efforts made the day unique.
